Entering the Unknown

My practice explores how the mind responds to uncertainty and constructs meaning from incomplete information.

Through automatic drawing, I create unpredictable marks without a predetermined subject. Using pareidolia, I search these marks for recognisable forms, which I gradually interpret and develop through painting.

Influenced by my experiences as an introvert, the figures that emerge reflect imagined possibilities of people I may encounter, shaped by memories, assumptions and imagination.

Rather than portraying actual individuals, these figures serve as vehicles for exploring uncertainty, observation, recognition and interpretation.

The painting process reenacts an aspect of everyday life and becomes the central subject of my work.
